The first scale contains 12 multiple-choice questions to assess hand hygiene knowledge. The practice and attitude scales were assessed via a five-point Likert-type rating system named the Hand Hygiene Practices Inventory (HHPI), which consists of 14items, and the Hand Hygiene Beliefs Scale (HBS), which consists of 24 items.
